I have to admit, we were a bit skeptical at first. How do you buy a car sight-unseen? Do we haggle back and forth like a conventional purchase? To you take the inquiry seriously? What surprised me was the ease of purchasing both cars online without the hassles of going back and forth with a salesperson. I also didn't expect you to respond back to me within ten minutes of my inquiry with serious pricing that was highly competitive! To top it all off, when we arrived to introduce ourselves to you that evening, you had both cars sitting together, gleaming at us at the front door when we arrived to sign the papers. I was accustomed to having a salesman search the lot for cars or having to wait for a dealer trade. The transaction was easy! This is the 3rd time that we have bought a set of cars at the same time from Subaru. With our first set back in 1987, we were spoiled quickly with the reliability of the GL wagons. Then came a set of his & hers Legacy LS wagons. These cars have conquered all kinds of driving conditions. The second set of twins cost even less to maintain! All we ever had to do was follow the suggested sevrice schedule. These days, that's a compliment to Subaru's engineering. We drive a lot of miles, and frankly, it's a load off our shoulders knowing we have dependable, reliable transportation that never lets us down in all sorts of weather! Like any twins, the new Y2K Outbacks are keeping us quite busy. They have altready played in the sand on Pismo Beach, and conquered the winding roads leading to Big Bear Lake. The twins are also our daily commute cars as well, fantastic to drive! The website here, as well as your staff, are to be commended for their professionalism. Maybe, with our next purchase, you might fly us in from Ontario rather than have to deal with the traffic on the 91 and 55 Freeways! I was very impressed with the service I received and the straightforward, honest approach used by you and all of your staff. Everyone at your dealership was friendly and helpful with all of my questions during the transaction. My entire car-buying experience was a pleasure, and I was very happy with my Forester. Unfortunately, in June of 1999 I was in a car accident and my 1998 Forester was totaled. Someone driving a large flatbed truck hit me from behind going approximately 60 mph. I was almost at a complete stop on the freeway. My vehicle became a sandwich between two large trucks. Of the four cars involved in the accident, my car took the main impact of the accident. (click here to see the photos of my crashed car!) Fortunately, I had only minor injuries because the Forester held up so well in the accident! As you can see from the photos, the passenger compartment stayed intact while the front and the back end of the car took all the impact of the accident in order to protect the people inside. Had I been in another car, I would probably not be here today writing this letter. I was aware when I bought my Forester that it had a very good crash test rating, but had no idea I would have the opportunity to test it out. I feel very fortunate that I purchased my Forester when I did, not knowing that it would someday save my life. After the accident, I called you to let you know what had happened and to inform you that I would be buying another Forester to replace the one that was totaled. You expedited things for me the second time around and again, I had a great buying experience. Since the accident, I have been telling everyone how my Forester saved my life and how fun & dependable Subaru vehicles are to drive. In addition, I want to let people know what a great experience it is to buy a car from your dealership. Your friendly and skilled staff in the service department (especially Gil Mercado) also makes bringing my Forester in for service such a pleasure. First off, I am a 19-year old college student with low income and budget. I own a 1997 Impreza and have been very happy with it in all aspects. I am also a big fan of Rally racing and Subaru's involvement with rallying, and I hope to race for Subaru one day. I got into an accident with a curiously strong fence one day while trying to race like Colin McRae and did serious damage to the entire right side of my car. I took it to the local shop for repair and watched the repair bills climb. Thanksfully, I was insured, but car rental was costing me a fortune! Being 18, it's very expensive to rent a car! I wrote a letter to Subaru about a backorder with parts that caused an additional 5-day delay, causing my car to be in the shop a week longer. I cited my concern about being able to pay my $250 deductible and an extra $600 car rental bill. Two weeks later, I received a check from Subaru for $940 as a "gesture of good will" that reflected reimbursement for the rental charges incurred during the delay on parts for my car. Needless to say, I was very pleased and will certainly be a Subaru owner for life! Subaru ownership in our family will be a tradition I hope to carry on for generations to come. Thanks, Subaru!
